I did research on streets and public spaces in NYC. I discovered a need for seating in various locations, notably in places like squares and playgrounds. People have a preference for sitting on stairs and any available surfaces. Furthermore, I observed that numerous bicycles were haphazardly parked on the streets or in parks due to the difficulty in finding suitable bicycle parking spots or discomfort with existing bicycle storage options.
Stairk is an outdoor furniture piece designed for both resting and bike parking. Constructed from steel pipe and ash wood, it can be conveniently placed in a variety of locations including sidewalks and plazas.
